When you have walked through trauma, exhausting seasons, or long periods of high stress, it is natural for the world to feel overwhelming, threatening, or even unreal.

You might feel: Disconnected, like you’re watching your life from the outside. Hyper-vigilant, always “on,” scanning for what might go wrong, and unable to truly rest. Numb, feeling collapsed, “stuck” in place, or like your emotions are muted. Physically Braced, carrying “armor” in your shoulders, jaw, or chest that won’t let go.

This is just a glimpse of how survival mode can manifest; your experience may be a unique mix of these and many other subtle shifts in how you feel and move. These aren’t flaws, they are your body’s way of trying to keep you safe. Even when the danger has passed, your system may remain in survival mode. Somatic Movement Therapy helps your body recognize that it is finally safe to let go.

 

Healing is more than a conversation; it is a physical shift. In our work, your body becomes the bridge to cross from the exhaustion of survival mode back to the vitality of your true self.

 

With guidance and gentle care, I help you rediscover safety from the inside out. We focus on building your resilient center—a state where you can rest without collapsing and engage with life without feeling overwhelmed.
